Self-taught encaustic artist, Christine Revel, says that having had no professional art training gives her the freedom to simply create from the heart. Her art is open to interpretation and that is one of the beautiful things about it. It invites you to have an inquiring mind. It stimulates the imagination and creates discussion. Christine has a true passion for the whimsical and dimensional formations that this heated beeswax and mixed media medium allows her to create. Christine reawakened her childhood passion for art when she moved from New York to Paris in 2001. Since then she has enjoyed expressing herself in various mediums. Christine was born in New Jersey. She has lived in New York, Paris and currently the Zürich area with her husband and two sons.
